Marla stood in her apartment, hands on hips, shouting, “I am resilient!” The walls bounced the declaration back. She nodded, then screamed, “I am unstoppable!” A vase toppled. She froze. “Oops,” she said, crouching to salvage a shard. Suddenly, her neighbor’s cat leaped from the couch, hissing at the debris. Marla straightened, jaw set. “I am confident!” The cat yowled, sprinting through open windows. Marla sighed, wiping glass from her hair. “I am…” She paused. The cat’s tail swished back, glowing like a neon sign. “I am…” She squinted. The tail blinked. “Oh.” She whispered, “I am a legend.” The cat meowed. Marla grinned. “You bet your fur I am.”
