The Unshakable Gary

Gary stood in the office break room, staring into the coffee machine like it owed him money. “I am calm,” he whispered, patting the stainless steel. The machine hissed back. “I am focused,” he said, squinting at a spreadsheet. His coworker Linda glanced up from her desk. “You okay?” she asked. Gary nodded, voice booming. “I am *unstoppable*!” He lunged for the coffee button—only to trip over his own feet, sending a tower of paper towels cascading. The room froze. Gary lay sprawled, a sticky note stuck to his forehead that read “CONFIDENCE: 50%”. He grinned. “I am *resilient*!” Linda facepalmed. “You’re a menace.” “Exactly!” Gary yelled, launching into a victory dance that knocked over a trash can. The office erupted in awkward silence. Gary paused, then whispered, “I am… appreciated.” The trash can tipped forward, dumping a mountain of crumpled papers. He sighed. “Okay, maybe I need to work on that.”
