
Marla stood at the edge of the sidewalk, reciting, “I am fearless. I am unstoppable. I am…” A bicyclist zipped past, knocking her sunglasses into a puddle. She paused, then declared, “I am adaptable!” She bent to retrieve the shades, only to step in a pile of goose droppings. “I am resilient!” she shouted, as a toddler nearby echoed, “I am a dinosaur!” Marla smiled. “Exactly,” she said, wiping her shoe on a passing penguin. The penguin squawked. “I am…” she began, but the penguin had already stolen her sunglasses.
